Safe Profit Data Program

SUBJECT: Doing Data For Safety and Profit, Part 1 of 6

Thank you so much for visiting my blog, Doing Data For Safety and Profit. I hope you find this informative, useful, and most of all moving enough to do *something* even if it’s not what we have to offer. Protecting your data is truly important. Harnessing it is even moreso.

Here’s the basic message:

In this, the 21st century, it is no longer enough to store your data on laptop that can get lost or on CDs. Data needs to be stored in a server medium so that 21st century marketers can access and use the data from anywhere that they can hook up.

A second message is this: ideally, data should be entered once and then made available and usable for any number of different purposes. That data should pre-populate these other uses so that when you use various applications, the data is already there. You don’t have to enter it again.

This saves not only time and energy, but it also reduces the chances for data entry error.

So now, I’d like to introduce you to the initial scene.

You’ve got your business going. Data is flowing. You receive it, store it and use it to build your busines to profit.

Then a tremendous inconvenience strikes.

Your computer picks up a new unadvertised feature from Mizersoft and now all your data had been simplified into pure zeros. No ones at all. Just zeros. In short, your machine is flatlined and has become a 4 pound paperweight.

Even though you’ve backed up your data regularly, this is a real bummer. The time you have to spend fixing things and being sure that the latest backup was good is aggravating beyond words.

You can cry a million tears into your beer saying “woe is me,” and all the members the online forums can offer you suggestions and commisserate. Very helpful.

But maybe - just maybe - you luck out and meet someone who’s reply is simply… “Is that all?

Well, that someone is me.

And while you may feel like dropping a piano on my head, maybe you think I have a reason for saying this and that maybe I’m not insensitive after all. Maybe I’m really on my way to becoming a good friend.

Last time, we supposed that your computer had flatlined, and that most everyone was agreeing with your tales of woe sob story. Until I come by and say, “Is that all?”

OK - I see the fury in your eyes. But wait! I’m not the insensitive. I’m going to show you how from this point forward you NEVER have to face this problem again - at least not with respect to your business data.

And I’m going to do more. I’m going to show you how to use that business data more effectively than you ever have before.

Sidebar: no matter how you store your data, you simply must back it up. If you lose your data, and you’re in an information business, you’re hosed if you haven’t backed up. Do this today!

So first you’ve got to get your computer fixed or a new one, and then restore your data. Sorry there’s no alternative because you haven’t moved into the 21st century yet. (If you’re computer hasn’t crashed and burned, you can safely move into the 21st century before your computer crashes and stop worrying about that.)

The scene: your computer has crashed; but you’ve backed it up. You’ve fixed it and restored your data, but you never want to go throgh that scare again.

I’m about to show you the 21st century alternative.

So let’s begin with the basics. An alternative that has been around for awhile is an online data backup service.

Today we’re going to cover a few of the more advanced features and benefits and then wrap it up with a great risk-free offer so you can see if [MarketingBuddy™] is for you.

First is the abiity of one database to be used by another database in the system.

Let’s say, for instnace that you have a list of contacts in the Contacts database.

You can then use some of the information in these Contacts database records in other [MarketingBuddy™] records.

For example, the ad swaps database. You perform these swaps with other people. These other people go into your Contacts database and can then be used in your Ad Swaps.

The contact information can also be used in your Affilaites Programs databse. Who runs the service? Well, it’s a contact. Let’s say it’s the same contact that you did an ad swap with. Now you’ve used the Contact data twice, with no data re-entry.

Let’s say that this person changes email addresses. You simply change it in the Contacts database and it appears in whatever other databases use that information.

Another convenience is that if you’re participating in an affiliate program, you can enter the website for the sales letter. There’s a link next to the field. You click it and it opens a new window with the sales letter shown.

This is tremendous if you’re trying to come up with, say a classified ad, and want to easily pull key features from the sales page you’ll be referring people to.

And you can also click a link next to any email address and it will open your email client with that address in the To: field.

If you’re in a database that uses contact info, but you have a new contact, you can simply click a link that takes you directly to the Contacts database to enter the new data. You can then use it throughout the system. Sweet!

You can also search your data. Each database comes with its own powerful and easy-to-use search module. All you do is enter the criteria of your search and away you go. If the data’s in there, [MarketingBuddy™] will find it.”
